How to Play Streakle

Everything a new player needs to know — the rules, the color clues, and how streaks work.

Streakle is a free daily word game. Each day there is one hidden five-letter word, the same for every player around the world, and your goal is to discover it in six guesses or fewer. It takes only a couple of minutes, and the fun is in deducing the answer from the clues the board gives you.

The basic rules

  1. Type any valid five-letter word as your guess and press Enter.
  2. After each guess, the five tiles change color to tell you how close you were.
  3. Use those clues to make a smarter next guess.
  4. Solve the word within six rows to win and keep your streak alive.

What the tile colors mean

The colors are the heart of the game. Here is exactly what each one tells you, using the example guess CRANE when the hidden word is TRACE:

C R A N E

Reading those three signals correctly is all you need to narrow down the answer step by step.

A new word every day

Streakle releases one fresh puzzle daily, resetting at midnight in your local time. Because everyone gets the same word on the same day, you can compare results with friends and family — no two days are alike.

How streaks work

Your streak is the number of consecutive days you have solved the puzzle. Solve today's word and your streak goes up by one; come back and solve tomorrow's and it climbs again. If you miss a day or fail to solve it, your current streak resets to zero — but the game always remembers your maximum streak and your overall win statistics, so you have a personal best to chase.

Sharing your result

When you finish, open the statistics screen and tap Share. Streakle copies a tidy grid of colored squares that shows how many guesses you needed without revealing the word, so you can post your score or send it to a friend with zero spoilers.
